How to find us

At Invergarry turn off the A82 on to the A87, towards Kyle of Lochalsh. Continue through the village of Invergarry for about one mile. Turn right on to a minor road signposted ‘Faichem’. Take the third road on the right at our sign, Faichemard Farm.

Invergarry

The village of Invergarry has a bar and restaurant (Brasserie) at the excellent Invergarry Hotel, a restaurant at the Glengarry Castle Hotel, and a superb 4-star Hostel. There is also a Post Office, a Petrol Station and a Cafe and Heritage centre at the Community Hall beside the shinty pitch as well as a range of walks amongst beautiful scenery.

Fort Augustus and Loch Ness (7 miles)

Just a short distance away is the busy village of Fort Augustus which sits at the southernmost end of Loch Ness.  As well as a famous flight of locks on the Caledonian Canal, the village has a good range of restaurants and bars, as well as some spectacular views along Loch Ness itself. There is also a Medical Centre, a Garage, and mini-supermarkets, a Post Office, a Petrol Station, a butchers shop, and a variety of other attractions.

Fort William (26 miles)

At the base of Ben Nevis and the head of Loch Linnhe is the largest town and Outdoor Capital of the Highlands – Fort William. A great range of outdoor activities is available – Walking, Mountain-Biking, Fishing, Golf and Watersports just a few of a great range of activities in the area.  For a more relaxed way of seeing some spectacular views, the Nevis Range mountain gondola is available all year round. Also open all year round is the Ben Nevis Distillery where you may wish to sample a  fine dram

Surrounding Area

The Glengarry Viewpoint has an magnificent panoramic outlook of the Glengarry Mountains and is located just 8 miles west on the A87 Road to the Isles.  Further along towards Skye are the Brochs of Glenelg and the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, and once on Skye the atmospheric Black Cuillin Mountains are a sight to behold.  A short distance north is Urquhart Castle at Drumnadrochit and a little further is Culloden Battlefield near Inverness.  Travelling south the Steam Train from Fort William to Mallaig passes across the famous Glenfinnan viaduct constructed by Sir Robert McAlpine.
